Search Visibility of Vibe-Coded Sites: 898 Domains
61.0% of 898 measured VCL domains had fewer than ten estimated monthly organic visits. Search visibility is uneven—and these estimates are not visitor analytics.
548 of 898 measured VCL domains—61.0%—had fewer than ten estimated monthly organic Google visits in the September report. The median estimate was 2.3.
A public URL and a presence in search are different things. This snapshot documents that distinction, while leaving an important question unanswered: how many people actually visited those products through all channels?
A broad spread of search estimates
The report contains 904 eligible unique custom domains. DataForSEO estimates were available for 898; the six missing results are excluded, not assigned zero traffic.
| Estimated monthly organic visits | Domains | Share of 898 measured domains |
|---|---|---|
| Zero estimate | 271 | 30.2% |
| Above 0, below 10 | 277 | 30.8% |
| 10 to below 100 | 157 | 17.5% |
| 100 to below 1,000 | 109 | 12.1% |
| 1,000 or more | 84 | 9.4% |
The below-ten finding combines the first two rows: 271 plus 277, divided by 898. At the other end, 84 domains had an estimate of at least 1,000 monthly organic visits. A low median therefore does not describe every site in the sample.
What “traffic” means here
These are estimates, not measured visits from GA4, PostHog or server logs. They describe organic Google search across available locations and languages under this edition’s recorded estimation method. They do not measure direct visits, social referrals, paid traffic, unique visitors or revenue.
A zero estimate is not proof that nobody visited a site. Equally, the 1,000-plus category does not establish that those visits converted into active users or customers.
This is a selected sample of public VCL project domains, not a representative estimate for all vibe-coded products. Shared platforms are excluded from this domain analysis. The results do not establish whether AI-assisted development caused low search visibility, how long each product had been promoted, or how the same domains changed over time.
The defensible finding is narrower: most measured custom domains in this release had a small estimated organic-search footprint.
