How to Earn on VibeCodingList: A Step-by-Step Guide

A practical guide to VCL's Earn page: feedback rewards, contributor progress, paid missions, agents, referrals, growth services and payouts.

How to Earn on VibeCodingList: A Step-by-Step Guide

You can earn on VibeCodingList by helping other builders: testing their products, sharing useful feedback, completing paid reviews, and inviting contributors who do good work. There are also options for people using testing agents, providing growth services, building tools, or entering competitions.

The Earn page brings these routes together. This guide follows its three main steps, then walks through the additional options and how payouts work.

If you are new, start with one product you can meaningfully test. You can earn eligible feedback rewards before qualifying for paid missions. Cash opportunities depend on funding, eligibility, and the quality of your work; a contribution does not automatically earn money.

First, know what you are earning

VCL uses three different kinds of rewards:

RewardWhat it is for
CreditsVCL services, including eligible visibility boosts for your own project.
Reviewer XPContributor progress and eligibility milestones.
CashEligible paid work and rewards, withdrawable once available and payout requirements are met.

Credits and XP cannot be cashed out. Keep them separate from the cash balance shown in Earnings.

Step 1: Start with useful product feedback

Open Start giving feedback and follow the account setup. Choose another builder's product, read what they want reviewed, and try a complete task.

That could be creating a first document, finding a setting, uploading a file, or using the main feature on your phone. Give the builder enough detail to understand what happened:

  • What were you trying to do?
  • Which steps did you take?
  • What worked, and where did you hesitate or get stuck?
  • What change would help, and why?

For example, “I tried to save my first invoice on mobile, but couldn't tell which fields were required” gives a builder a place to investigate. This is an illustrative finding; your review should describe your own testing and include supporting evidence where useful.

Eligible feedback can earn credits that help you boost your own project. Boosted projects with available rewards can also pay cash for qualifying feedback. Check the project's current reward availability before choosing work for cash: funding and eligibility can change, and posting more comments does not guarantee more rewards.

For practical review examples, read How to Give Feedback That Earns.

Step 2: Build your contributor reputation

Keep contributing useful human feedback and earning positive ratings from builders. This builds your reviewer XP and contributor standing while you continue to earn eligible rewards.

The current milestones shown on Earn are:

  • 50 reviewer XP: Rising Analyst.
  • 150 reviewer XP: Analyst.
  • Trusted Analyst: additional quality requirements beyond the XP milestones.

Reaching Analyst does not automatically complete the Trusted requirements. Open your contributor progress for the full checklist and your current status.

Focus on work you can support with evidence. A clear finding about a task you actually tried is more useful than a long review full of general suggestions. AI can help you polish notes from your own testing; if an agent performs the testing and submits the feedback, use the agent route described below.

Step 3: Qualify for paid Feedback Missions

Feedback Missions are paid review opportunities with a defined brief and acceptance requirements.

The current entry path is to become a Trusted Analyst, activate reviewer access, accept the rules, and complete payout setup. Your account must meet those requirements before you can take available work.

Once eligible, read each mission's brief before claiming it. Check what you need to test, what evidence or deliverables are required, and the completion conditions. Submit the requested work and respond to any review or correction requirements.

Missions pay for accepted work. Review, retention, or hold periods can affect when the money becomes available to withdraw. Mission availability varies, so qualification is access to opportunities rather than a promise of regular work.

Other earning routes you can explore

The next options have their own requirements. You can explore them alongside the human contributor path; they are not extra steps everyone must complete.

Use an AI agent or testing tool

If you already use a coding agent or testing tool, connect it through Give feedback in developer settings. It can help explore an app, collect evidence, and submit useful findings through your VCL account.

Agent feedback can qualify for funded cash rewards. Where agent credit rewards are enabled, eligible tested feedback can also earn a small visibility credit bonus after a qualifying manual builder rating. Cash rewards and visibility credits can be earned together, and credits can also be earned when no cash reward is available. Check the setup page for the current bonus requirements and limits.

The bonus credits are limited to eligible visibility boosts for your own project.

Agent feedback earns no reviewer XP, Analyst progression, or positive Contributor Score. It therefore does not advance you through the mission eligibility path above. You remain responsible for the findings, and your agent or testing tool may have its own costs.

Use the agent earning guide for setup, testing evidence, reward limits, and the review-before-publishing workflow.

Apply to provide growth services

VCL also has a route for approved providers who help builders grow their Domain Rating through funded growth work.

Provider access is currently a private cohort. Join the provider waitlist to express interest. Joining does not guarantee approval or contracts, and you need provider access and completed payout setup before taking work.

Approved providers earn through funded contracts with delivery and verification requirements. Read the scope and completion rules before accepting a contract. This is a specialist service route, with different requirements from leaving product feedback.

Invite thoughtful contributors

If you know people who give useful product feedback, explore contributor referrals. Share your contributor invite link and help them get started.

Qualifying referrals can earn an activation bonus and commission on eligible paid work after it settles. An invitation or signup alone does not guarantee a reward.

Check the program's current qualification rules, rates, cap, and earning window before sharing. The referral announcement explains the model, while the referral program and your dashboard show the terms and status that apply to you.

Check payouts before relying on cash rewards

Use the payout checker on Earn to preview the requirements for your country, then open Earnings to confirm your account's setup and current minimum.

There are three practical steps:

  1. Complete bank payout setup. VCL uses Stripe Connect. Follow the verification and bank-detail steps requested in Earnings.
  2. Check your cash-out minimum. The first cash-out uses your country's minimum, which can be below or above $5 USD. Later cash-outs use the higher of $5 USD or the country minimum. Account restrictions can affect the minimum shown to you.
  3. Wait for available cash. A potential reward can still be under review, and earned cash may remain on hold. Some missions have retention requirements. Only available cash counts toward a withdrawal; Stripe and your bank still need processing time afterward.

The country checker is a preview. Your verification, contributor standing, account requirements, and holds can affect when you can cash out. If setup is unavailable or fails, contact VCL before relying on paid work.

Event prizes and customers for your own tool

Earn also lists two ways to participate where income comes from outside the normal VCL reward balance.

Enter a Vibe Jam or challenge

Browse Vibe Jams for hackathons and competitions. Some offer cash or sponsor prizes.

Read the organizer's entry requirements, judging rules, and prize details before committing to an event. The organizer chooses winners and handles awards. Entering a competition does not guarantee a prize.

Discuss a review-tool pilot

If you have built a review or audit tool, you can discuss a pilot with VCL. Pilots such as PageGains and RankQuest show how a useful branded preview can introduce builders to a tool and link them onward to its product.

You earn from customers who choose your product through your own business. A tool pilot does not include a VCL payout or guarantee customers. Contact VCL about a review-tool pilot to discuss participation.

Choose your starting point

If you are new to contributing, start with one useful review, then check your progress. If you already qualify for paid work, look at available missions. If you want to use a testing agent, begin with the agent setup guide.
